Delete A Deposit In QuickBooks
I created a sales receipt for $200 and went to Record Deposits and deposited it. I made incorrect information and want to delete it but unable to do. It shows me two warning messages.
Warning 1: “You need to delete this cash sale from the deposit before you can delete or edit its name or amount.”
Warning 2: “You cannot edit payment information in a deposit transaction”.
But I don’t know how to edit this. So, I go to original Sales Receipt and try to click on Edit Delete but nothing happened. Please help me solve this issue.

The Delete Deposit option will only visible in the Edit toolbar. If you choose the deposit within the register. If there are multiple payments transactions in one deposit, you can open the transaction and use the Delete Line option instead.
Steps To Delete A Deposit In QuickBooks:
- Navigate to Lists at the top menu bar.
- Tap on Chart of Accounts.
- Double-click on the Account
- Double-click on the Deposit
- If you want to delete a Specific Payment, choose it from the list.
- Now tap the Edit tab at the top menu bar.
- Choose Delete Line.
- You can choose Delete Deposit if you want to delete the entire deposit.
Note: Delete Line option will only visible if there are multiple payments on a deposit transaction.
