QuickBooks Error 9999

I am using QuickBooks Online, when I try to update my bank information QuickBooks Error 9999 message occur showing you will not be able update any information. Now, I am unable to complete any banking operations. Any help in this issue?

Step 2: Remove the account

  • From your actual bank remove the QBO account.
  • Tap on the pencil icon on the highlighted account which is getting updated.
  • Then tap on ‘Edit Account Info’ option.
  • Tap on ‘Disconnect this account on save’ option.
  • Tap on save and close the window.
  • Now go to the Dashboard.
  • Re-establish the link that you have disconnected from the bank.
  • Now tap on ‘Add Account’ from the actual account to re-establish the link with QBO.
  • You need to enter the credentials for your account in order to use the bank account.
  • Once you are done with it, the bank account will be updated in the QBO account.

Step 3: Repair the registry

  • Press Windows + R in your keyboard.
  • In the search box type cmd and then press enter.
  • Now a new window will appear on your screen.
  • Now type ‘Regedit’ and press the enter key.
  • Now select the keys related to QuickBooks Error 9999 and take a backup.
  • Tap on the File menu and then choose ‘Export’.
  • Now choose the folder where you want to save the backup
  • Click on Save.
  • Ensure that you have chosen the ‘Selected Branch’ in the ‘Export Range’
  • Save the file with ‘.regedit’
